Management of Impartiality:
BAS has top management committed to impartiality in its management system certification activities BAS will have a publically available statement that BAS understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out its management system certification activities, manages conflict of interest and ensures the objectivity of its management system certification activities
BAS will identify, analyze and document the possibilities for conflict of interests arising from provision of certification including any conflicts arising from its relationships via an FMEA risk assessment matrix and risk assessment procedure. Having relationships does not necessarily present BAS with a conflict of interest, However, if any relationship creates a threat to impartiality, BAS will document and be able to demonstrate how it eliminates or minimizes such threats. This information will be made available to the committee specified in 6.2. The demonstration will cover all potential sources of conflict of interests that are identified, weather they arise from within BAS or from the activities of other persons ,bodies or organizations and will be demonstrated in an FMEA risk assessment matrix .
